Christy Carlson Romano Biography
Christy Romano is an American actress, author and singer born on March 20, 1984 in Milford, Connecticut. She is best known as Ren Stevens in the sitcom Even Stevens alongside Shia LaBeouf as well as in the animated series Kim Possible, where she provided the voice of the title character. Before becoming one of the hottest young stars of today, Christy Romano studied at the Orange Ave Elementary School. Her family then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she made her first acting stint at the Atlanta production of Annie.

In 1997, Christy Romano debuted on Broadway in John Robert Brown’s musical, Parade. She then started to appear on various TV shows both on Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel. After which she took on the lead role in the movie Cadet Kelly with fellow young actress Hillary Duff. Her quirky attractive voice became one of her gifts, as she provided the vocals of Yuffie Kisarago in the animated movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, which was followed by the video game Kingdom Hearts. Back in Broadway, she starred as Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Because of her talents, Christy Romano became the recipient of the very first Connecticut’s Finest award in 2005.

Not only is Christy Romano an actress and a voice talent, but a singer as well. She has recorded soundtracks for Disney movies as well as TV shows including Teacher’s Pet and Kim Possible. She also sang in one of the episodes of Even Stevens in 2000. After being the voice behind several songs on Disney programs, Christy Romany then worked with a lot of people in the music biz to focus on her recording career. In 2004, she released Christy Carlson Greatest Disney TV & Film Hits under Walt Disney Records. Afterwards she signed with Atlantic Records for a debut album. However, in 2006, she stated in an interview that she is in between labels, this time with Virgin Records.

Apart from being an actress and singer, Christy Romano is also an author and has written the book entitled Grace’s Turn. Because of good reviews, Grace’s Turn received the New York Public Library’s Book for the Teenage in 2007.
